Rong Zhang is a Chinese fashion designer. Experimenting contemporary materials and rearrangement the garment construction is a great accomplishment that Rong enjoy. Her collections have been featured in leading publications such as Vogue.
Rong’s designs are known for their youth, rebellious, textural characteristics inspired by historical and natural themes. Rong’s collection expresses a harmony combination of structure and textures, by using techniques like digital printing, digital embroidery and weaving.
Rong Zhang received her Bachelor degree in Womenwear from London Collage of Fashion in 2015. During her studies she was an assistant to the well-known designer J.W. Anderson, and prepared for 15S/S London Fashion Week. Rong’s undergraduate collection has been selected for the Designer for Tomorrow Award, and the Chinese Festival Exhibition in V&A Museum.Currently, Rong studies the Fashion Design MDes degree from School of the Art Institute of Chicago in US, and works at J. Mendel Company in Fur and Evening Gown department design.
